Now available, the Liberator Pellet Hopper Adapter and Outside Air Intake! With these two accessories you can burn an entire bag of fuel pellets for over ten hours and if you like, even install an outside air intake kit. These two accessories are fully backwards compatible and can be installed on any Liberator Rocket Heater by the owner.
This rocket heater with the optional Pellet Hopper accessory is a completely gravity fed pellet stove that requires no electricity and is inherently reliable with no moving parts, burns quietly, cleanly, and is easy to remove for burning wood. Maintenance and cleaning are very easy! Please contact us if you have any questions.
To install the pellet hopper, you must also own and install the Liberator Outside Air Intake Adapter, which fits on top of the fuel feed tube, with the retainers facing down. Align the adapter to be flush on all faces with the feed tube. Tighten down the four set screws. Make sure the outside air intake adapter is facing either left or right of the heater. The 4" air intake pipe must not be facing towards the front or back. The Outside Air Intake Adapter is now installed on your heater.
Assemble the hopper. Push the round pellet pipe into the coupler until the pipe protrudes 23" inches past the bottom of the coupler. Tighten the screw on the coupler to hold in the pipe. Place the pellet hopper on top of the fuel feed tube, and ensure that the pellet hopper's retainers are properly set within the tube. Make sure that the heat shield is facing towards the stove, and ensure that the lid for the hopper flips open from the front with the hinge facing towards the heater.
Open the ash cleanout door and and insert the burn grate until the edge of the metal grate is within the tube just enough to allow the ash cleanout door to close again, ideally as close to making contact with the ash cleanout door as possible. Check and ensure that the ash cleanout door can be closed. Close the door.
Fill the hopper with pellets. Use a torch to ignite the pellets. Make sure that the torch's flame is making contact with the fuel pellets and use a left to right sweeping motion across the burn grate for approximately 25 to 30 seconds. Turn off the torch and place it in another room. Close the ash cleanout door. The stove should now be burning pellets. For any and all questions please contact us
